Amid worsening air quality in Delhi-NCR, the central government has implemented GRAP Stage-III curbs, which include a ban on non-essential construction work and the operation of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers in the region. The Commission for Air Quality Management decided to impose these measures due to a significant rise in Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) and the anticipation of a prolonged period of severe air quality.
