'God's saying He wants me to help Trump': MAGA merchandise vendor

CNN's Elle Reeve recently went to visit Trump Town, an all-MAGA merchandise outlet operated by a Trump supporter named Whitey Taylor.

In an interview with Reeve, Taylor revealed that he had divine inspiration for opening his store, which sells assorted flags, bobbleheads, mugs, and t-shirts glorifying the twice-impeached, four-time-indicted former president.

"My son said, 'What is God saying?' He wants me to help Trump," explained Taylor. "I'm going to order 1,000 t-shirts. He said, 'Dad, that's crazy.' I said, 'Go big or go home. If God is telling me, we'll sell every one."

Taylor went on to explain that sales at his store went through the roof after Trump was charged with 91 felony counts and the grounds that they believed Trump's claim that the charges were all part of a hoax.

"They knew it was like Russian collusion," he said. "It was all made up."

Taylor also said that "there's no doubt" that the 2020 election was stolen, although he did think it was wrong to violently storm the United States Capitol building on January 6th, 2021.

However, he said Trump bore none of the blame for any of it.
