‘It’s £155 Creme de la Mer in a different pot’ woman beams as she claims to have £2 ‘holy grail’ of skincare from Boots

A WOMAN has claimed that she has discovered the ‘holy grail’ of skincare.

And don’t worry, it won’t cost you a fortune – in fact, it’s just £2, and you might have it in your cupboard already.

Annie Mac claimed that the Nivea buy is essential the same as Creme de la Mer, a £155 viral moisturising cream[/caption]

Annie Mac, an Irish DJ and broadcaster, swore by Nivea Soft, a refreshingly soft moisturising cream for your face, hands and body, that you can find in Boots for only £2.

Not only was she extremely impressed with the cream, which she claimed leaves your skin feeling supple and moisturised all day, but she also claimed that it’s essentially the same as a very expensive, viral, posh moisturising cream.

So if you’ve seen the Creme de la Mer, the moisturiser by La Mer, but can’t justify the £155 price tag for only 30ml, you’ll need to listen up.

Annie took to social media to show off her new Nivea cream, which she described as “my holy grail when it comes to skincare.”

She then explained: “Guys, I never talk about beauty or grooming or any of that b******s on here. However, I do need to tell you something.

“I’ve had a revelation recently with regards to skincare.

“I have never been a cleanser, toner kind of gal. I just wash my face and whatever moisturiser is near I use.

“But recently I have gotten into the habit of thinking, ‘oh god, I’m 45’, I should be getting anti-ageing stuff, and maybe I should get eye cream – I’ve never worn eye cream in my life, and serums and stuff.

“So I’ve been spending money on stuff and experimenting with stuff and I can never really tell if anything works.

“I was going to Ireland recently and I picked up this from the airport.

“I swear to God, I think Nivea is actually Creme de La Mer but in a different box.

“You know Creme de La Mer? The really expensive, [£155] a jar cream?”

Thrilled with her new find, Annie continued: “It is gorgeous, it smells divine, it goes on like a dream.

“I put it on my lips as well when I’m rubbing it on my face. It keeps your skin really supple and moisturised all day.

“I now use it as a day cream and night cream. I just slap it on, morning and night. It is literally all I need.

“Nivea is the future. She says, obviously. It’s a classic. It’s funny that a box and marketing can change your mind about something.

“This is the s**t. Honestly.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @anniemacmanus, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 159,400 views in just 17 hours.

Social media users were eager to agree with Annie’s claims and many took to the comments to rave about Nivea Soft.

One person said: “I’ve heard the one that comes in the all blue metal tin is supposedly a dupe for La Mer.”

Another added: “Your post is so refreshing. Sick of the beauty industry telling us to use expensive serums and primers. That Nivea is unreal, I’ve tried it.”

A third commented: “I’ve been using Nivea Soft as my every day moisturiser for over 15 years now – I’m 42! Swear by it”

Whilst someone else claimed: “I swear by Nivea, it’s all you need.”

At the same time, another beauty fan wrote: “Yes Annie!!! I buy the giant 500ml every couple of months and I couldn’t live without it.”

If you fancy giving Nivea Soft a try, know that it is a highly effective, revitalising moisturising cream for everyday use.

The light formula contains Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil and is quickly absorbed, leaving your skin feeling refreshed.

This face, body and hand moisturiser is ideal for anyone who prefers a low-maintenance approach to skin care, or someone looking to save space amongst their beauty supplies.
