Fireworks possibly to blame for damaging north Columbus home
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Columbus fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that nearly destroyed a home north of the city.
Crews responded to the blaze just after 4 a.m. Thursday morning on the 1300 block of Forsythe Avenue and arrived to find a brick home in the Denison Place neighborhood up in flames. No one was injured, but the home suffered extensive interior damage.
Both the fire department and Columbus police were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire, which they believe began after someone set off fireworks in the home.
