FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Thursday!
We won't be near as cold today as we have been the last several. Expect highs to warm back near 30 this afternoon, still below average, but milder than we have been. We'll see a few light snow showers, mainly north of I-70 during the morning, then pushing closer to Columbus into the afternoon. More widespread snow arrives tonight.
Expect accumulating snow through early afternoon on Friday. We're looking at 1-3" across most of the region, with some higher localized totals above 3" possible, mainly to our far north. Highs on Friday top out in the middle 20s, and snow ends by the afternoon.
We're then left with a reinforcing shot of chilly air this weekend. Expect morning low wind chills to dip back below zero. We're then looking at clearing clouds Saturday, with highs in the upper teens, but feeling colder. More sunshine on Sunday, with highs in the middle 20s.
By Monday, we're looking at partly sunny skies, and warmer conditions. Expect highs in the middle 30s, which is still a couple of degrees shy of average, but much closer to it than we have been.
Rain returns midweek.
