Glass dropped on MoPac main lanes causes traffic backup Friday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A glass delivery vehicle dropped a load of glass, leading to a traffic backup on MoPac Expressway Friday morning, according to the Austin Fire Department.

AFD said the incident occurred on North MoPac in the northbound main lanes at Far West Boulevard. AFD posted on social media about the incident at 9:55 a.m.

Around 12 p.m., the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority said the glass was cleared from the highway.

Officials said multiple units were at the scene assisting with cleanup.
