Fans Are in a Frenzy Over Katherine Heigl Recreating This Iconic Scene From '27 Dresses'

There are some rom-coms we can just watch any day, every day, and never get bored of them. Only quite a few movies fall into this category; and we can all agree that the 2008 rom-com starring Katherine Heigl and James Mardsen, 27 Dresses, is supremely high on said list. Fans have been dying for a reunion, a sequel, or something; and fans just got fed a video that they’re watching on repeat.

In a video obtained by People through DJ Benjamin Walker, which was originally posted on Jan 16, but went viral Jn 19, we can see a real treat for 27 Dresses fans. No, it’s not her retrying on all 27 dresses, it’s of her dancing to the hit Elton John song “Benny and the Jets.”

In the video, we see her dancing the night away in her showstopping, red Reem Acra gown at the Emmys afterparty.

In case you need a refresher, Heigl danced to the hit song alongside Marsden in the film when they were drunk and starting to have feelings for one another. It was a pivotal moment in the film, and we seriously adore the fact that Heigl grooved out to the nostalgic jam!

This, plus the Grey’s Anatomy reunion? Heigl gave fans everything and more.

The beloved 2008 film 27 Dresses, follows Heigl’s character Jane Nichols, who is a perpetual bridesmaid. She’s in love with her boss, who ends up falling for her lying sister. Throughout it all, a snarky journalist Kevin Doyle (played by Marsden) is an unexpected confidante, and later her love interest.
