Woman killed in hit-and-run in Northwest Baltimore on Sunday morning

A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene in Northwest Baltimore early Sunday morning.

Officers responded around 4 a.m. to the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road in the Park Circle neighborhood and found the 64-year-old victim in the roadway after being hit by an unidentified black vehicle, Baltimore Police said. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police identified the victim as Wilma Barnes.
