0

BUFFALO (KSNT) - The Kansas City Chiefs are headed back to the AFC Championship game.

A close game versus the Bills ended in the Chiefs favor, with Kansas City on top 27-24.

The two teams traded field goals to start the game before Buffalo took a 10-3 on a Josh Allen touchdown. Patrick Mahomes scored on a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce, but the Bills led 17-13 at halftime.

Both teams scored touchdowns out of the locker room, and Isaiah Pacheco scored what would be the last points of the game on a five-yard run to start the fourth quarter and lead 27-24.

A missed field goal by Buffalo gave Kansas City the ball back with 1:43 to play. A first down conversion was enough to run the clock out to give the Chiefs the 27-24 win.

Mahomes finished 17 of 23 passing for 215 yards and two touchdowns. Kelce caught five passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

The win advanced Kansas City to its sixth-straight AFC Championship game. The Chiefs play the Ravens on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. Winner advances to the Super Bowl.
