WCSO: Deputies respond to incarcerated person's death

FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Authorities in Washington County are investigating the death of an incarcerated person at the county jail. Law enforcement has not released the name of the person at this time.

Deputies responded to an incarcerated person in their cell who appeared to be suffering from cardiac arrest. Life-saving measures were performed on the individual.

The individual was declared dead on the scene. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office says they are now investigating the incident as a potential suicide.
