Crews respond to Second Street fire in Rensselaer
RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Firefighters and volunteers from the American Red Cross responded to a fire on Second Street in Rensselaer on Sunday. The fire reportedly happened around 2:45 p.m.
Authorities say the fire engulfed the attic area of the building and required a significant response from multiple fire departments. A coordinated attack on the fire contained it and extinguished it with no one being injured.
The Red Cross provided emergency aid to five people involved in the fire. They provided emotional support, health services, and comfort kits with personal care items. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
