ALTHOUGH many of us think we need to spend hundreds on high-end skincare and body products, we’re in luck.

A dermatologist said a common $2 product will take care of much of your ailments.

Dr. Toral (@toralvaidyamd), a dermatologist who has gained popularity on TikTok for sharing her skincare and beauty advice, said a Target product should be your new go-to.

At less than $2, Vaseline is beneficial for a number of concerns – and Dr. Toral continues to sing its praises.

“Vaseline hacks I learned becoming a dermatologist,” she began in a clip.

Her first tip? “Use it to hydrate your lips. So much better than chapstick.”

She also said it serves as a protecting barrier against other strong products.

“Use it on sensitive areas of the face (corners of eyes, nose, mouth) before applying exfoliants or retinoids.”

In another clip, she added that this protection feature also works if you apply it to your nose before blowing with a tissue to prevent irritation.

And if you have a cut or scrape, reach for the Vaseline rather than the Neosporin to heal it.

As for those dry areas of our bodies, like elbows and cracked heels, the jelly can soothe them too.

Same goes for chafing behind your knees or elbows, as she said in a follow-up: “Use it to prevent arm and thigh chafing.”

If you’re looking to enhance your beauty routine, she said the product has got you covered there too, as it works well to tame eyebrows without drying the skin, soothe eyelid rashes, and heal irritated corners of the lips.

She also said it helps any stubborn earrings go in easier.

And finally, it will keep you smelling better, longer.

“Apply it before using perfume. It protects skin and makes the scent last longer,” she said in the clip.

As for how to use it, Dr. Toral recommends scooping with a cotton swab rather than sticking your finger in the jar, as this provides a cleaner method.
