I’m a strong Christian woman who wears sports bras & leggings to the gym, but gets shamed for my ‘inappropriate outfits’
A WOMAN of faith is being shamed for her outfit choices.
She shut down the haters with a simple look, and most viewers took her side.
Gym rat and God follower Alexys (@buffbeliever) likes to promote both those passions on her TikTok.
In one clip, however, she said there was some tension between those two identities.
Answering a mock phone call, she imitated someone asking her if she is a “strong Christian woman.”
Proudly, she replied that she was indeed.
That’s when the annoying question came: “Then why do you wear inappropriate outfits to the gym?”
Alexys’s smile quickly faded from her face, and she offered a puzzled expression, furrowing her eyebrows before she slammed the phone down to hang up.
In the caption, she clarified what the so-called “inappropriate” outfit consisted of: “It’s just a sports bra and leggings…”
Viewers had her back.
“There is nothing wrong with that,” one person claimed.
Another offered a sarcastic solution: “You must wear a full sweatsuit at the gym. Nothing else is acceptable.”
A third agreed: “You could wear a burlap sack and they would still say something. It’s not your fault you’re so fabulous.”
And a fourth shared a new perspective that gained Alexy’s praise: “Why, because it’s unrestrictive and comfortable? It’s not your fault that people have immodest thoughts babe.”
