Swearing-in ceremony for Rensselaer County correctional facility leaders
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Rensselaer County has chosen new leaders for its department of corrections. The sheriff's office held a ceremony Friday to officially promote a new captain of corrections and chief of corrections.
The two previous leaders retired. Sheriff Kyle Bourgault said he's looking forward to moving ahead with new leadership.
"We're excited to announce David Galuski and Eric Morin as the top two, and we're excited to work with them to help implement our vision for the agency," he said.
The sheriff's office also held a swearing in ceremony for its new deputy sheriff, Dan Mahar, who previously worked for the Watervliet Police Department.
