Saratoga Lake properties sold, Nostalgia to close
Since 1955, the DiDonna family has owned the Saratoga Lake property at 113 Route 9P, which includes Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar and South Shore Marina. Now, Anthony DiDonna has sold the property as he plans to move away from the restaurant industry.
National BBQ chain opening new location in Colonie
Mission BBQ, a national chain that supports military members, police officers, firefighters, and first responders, is set to open a new location in Colonie. The restaurant will be opening in the Northway Shopping Center at 1440 Central Avenue.
Jack’s Oyster House in Albany up for sale
The iconic Jack’s Oyster House, a staple in downtown Albany for over 100 years, is up for sale. Owner Brad Rosenstein tells NEWS10 that the building went up for sale on Monday.
Quesadillary in downtown Troy closing its doors
Muddaddy Flats, located at 49 3rd Street in downtown Troy, is closing. Owner Dan Frament made the announcement in a video on the Muddaddy Flats Facebook page.
Chinese restaurant sets opening date in Crossgates
The Chinese restaurant Emperor Garden is set to open in Crossgates Mall. The restaurant is having its soft opening on Saturday, January 27, by reservation only.

PrimoHoagies sets opening date in Latham
PrimoHoagies, a gourmet Italian specialty sandwich chain, is set to open its first New York shop in Latham. The shop at 1210 Troy Schenectady Road in the Plaza 7 Commons is set to open on Thursday, February 1 at 10 a.m. after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m.
Starbucks drive-thru opens in Amsterdam
Starbucks opened up its new drive-thru location on Route 30 in the Town of Amsterdam. The store opened on Friday, January 26, according to a Starbucks spokesperson.

“A Taste of Amsterdam” is back for 2024. Restaurants around the City of Amsterdam will be offering specials from February 5 to February 11.
Civitello’s in Schenectady closes for renovations

Berkshire County town to have a restaurant again
The Town of Cheshire has ice cream stands, a liquor store, a Dunkin’ and more, but it doesn’t have a full restaurant. Cj Garner and partner Marcus Lyon are going to change that by opening Common Table.
