Sanders Meat Market in Ballston Spa up for sale

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Sanders Meat Market in Ballston Spa is up for sale. Owner Tim Sanders told NEWS10 that although the business is for sale, it is not closing.

"This business is emotionally, financially and physically rewarding," said Sanders. "Turnkey profitable from day one. Just seeking a new owner to continue what I have started and add their own ideas to enhance the business profile."

Sanders has been in the butcher shop and supermarket business for 55 years. He's a third-generation butcher as his father and grandfather were butchers before him. His father Harvey worked as a butcher for 40 years and has a meat market in New Hampshire.

After Sanders and his wife moved to the Ballston Spa area, they opened Sanders Meat Market in 2009. Sanders' daughter Miranda also joined the business and hopes to continue on being a butcher.

Sanders and his wife are looking to move back to New Hampshire and retire. He said there has been interest in the business and will consider any reasonable offers.
