Two children missing from Florida recovered in Ruston
RUSTON, La. (KTVE/KARD) -- Two children who were reported missing in Florida were found safe in Louisiana, authorities said.
On Thursday, a statewide Amber Alert was issued in Florida for two sisters who went missing from Lake County, Florida, five-year-old Tillie Claire Williams and one-year-old Natalia Williams. The two girls were found by law enforcement in Ruston and are now safe.
The children's guardian contacted the Lake County Communication Center at 7 a.m. Thursday and advised that two of her foster children were missing from the residence located on Companero Drive in Sorrento. The complainant said the two girls were last seen at approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Louisiana authorities found the girls safe, with their mother, Dixie, who is now in custody on the kidnapping warrant that was obtained by detectives, authorities said.
