CSK Captain MS Dhoni Celebrates Republic Day At Farm House In Ranchi – WATCH VIRAL VIDEO
New Delhi: MS Dhoni celebrated Republic Day in a by hoisting the Tricolour at his farmhouse in Ranchi. Dhoni’s patriotism was caught on camera by wife Sakshi Malik, the video of which she shared on her social media. In the video, Dhoni was seen looking at the huge flag as it flew high up in the air. Dhoni will next be seen leading Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).
Dhoni, who was last seen playing cricket in the last edition of IPL, has started training for the upcoming edition. Although he hasn’t officially declared, but IPL 2024 is likely to be the last season for the former Indian captain playing the game. The two-time World Cup-winning Indian skipper was last seen in public when he cheered for the Indian women’s hockey team during FIH Olympic Qualifiers in Ranchi.

Dhoni had undergone a knee surgery last year in June. Currently, he is going through rehab and CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan sounded confident of the captain to be match-fit before IPL 2024. “He is doing well now. He has started his rehab. He started working in the gym. And, probably in another 10 days he’ll start working in the nets also,” Viswanathan had said.
Reacting on Dhoni’s retirement plans, Viswanathan too is of the view that only Dhoni knows when he will stop playing. “That I do not know. See, as far as the captain is concerned, he will answer you directly. He does not tell us what he is going to do,” Viswanathan added.
As far as Chennai Super Kings business during the player’s auction last year in December in Dubai, the five-time IPL champions did a decent job. The Dhoni-led side bought six players with New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell taking home most money. Mitchell was bought for Rs 14 crores in the auction. CSK had also bought uncapped Sameer Rizvi for Rs 8.4 crore while also resigning India all-rounder Shardul Thakur.
