‘It looked as if a torpedo had been shot off’: Memorial honours 1974 flood deaths

Fifty years ago, Brisbane experienced a flood that shook awake a growing capital city built on a flood plain. On Sunday, two of the 16 deaths linked to Brisbane’s 1974 flood will be remembered.
