Love Island fans demand movie night return to expose Mitch’s ‘cruel’ comment about Liberty
LOVE Island fans have insisted that the producers bring back the famed movie night so Mitch gets put on blast for making a ‘cruel’ comment about Liberty.
The All Star cast faced a tense recoupling ceremony in the most recent episode where some couples broke up in front of everyone leaving ‘Messy Mitch‘ to partner up with Liberty.
He did not have much choice as she was the last woman left standing by the firepit, and ended up stumbling through his speech.
Initially he seemed unsure what to say about the Birmingham beauty.
The other men in the villa giggled as she waited patiently for him to give the reasons why he wanted to form a couple with her.
In the end he made a grand gesture, telling her she was the only person he was interested in getting to know in the villa.
Liberty blushed and seemed flattered by his kind words.
But he soon took them back as soon as he was alone with the other boys, revealing his true feelings towards her.
Mitch told his friends he “didn’t even know if he likes the girl”, despite having come on so strongly in his speech.
Fans of the reality show were left appalled by how two-faced he was being.
One person hit out: “Mitch now saying he doesn’t want Liberty – that better make movie night clips if they’re still together by that point, which they won’t.”
Another agreed: “Movie night needs to come early. Because liberty needs to hear the nonsense that comes out of Mitch’s mouth.”
A third exclaimed: “Just saw someone talk about movie night! They better play that Mitch clip for Lib!”
A fourth lamented: “Omg that was so cruel to say that straight after the recoupling poor Liberty.”
Previous movie nights have seen cast members exposed for unkind comments they made behind the backs of their co-stars.
In the end Mitch admitted his true feelings to Liberty the next day, saying he wasn’t sure if their relationship was going anywhere.
She was hurt, telling a friend later she thought they had “something special”, but agreed to just be friends.
