BPA acquires Toronto-based consulting engineering firm TMP
Bouthillette Parizeau (BPA), one of Canada’s largest consulting engineering firms, recently acquired The Mitchell Partnership (TMP), a Toronto-based consulting engineering firm.
This acquisition solidifies BPA’s position as a leading building engineering firm in Canada and expands its presence in both Toronto and Montreal.
The acquisition is part of BPA’s pan-Canadian strategic development plan, which also included acquisitions of Ottawa-based structural engineer Cleland Jardine and UNIGEC, a building engineering firm based in Quebec, following an initial investment by CDPQ in 2022.
BPA’s services in energy modelling, carbon neutrality environmental certification (LEED, WELL, BOMA BEST, Zero Carbon), energy audits and studies (energy, water, carbon, life cycle), and thermography allow them to set up environmental safeguards for clients.
The partnership with TMP exposes them to the healthcare sector and allows them to provide sustainable development and energy-efficiency solutions to their clients, which is important as the Government of Canada strives to achieve its net-zero emissions goals by 2050.
