CAIN Dingle leaving Emmerdale has been trending on social media – but is he actually?
Fans of the ITV soap have been left with worry that the fan-favourite could be departing the Dales.
It comes after the character, played by Jeff Hordley, was left fighting for his life in recent scenes.
Viewers watched as he fell to the ground with a suspected head and brain injury last week.
Just a day previous Aaron had left Cain unconscious after a vicious attack.
But as he returned for another ‘chat’ with Aaron, viewers were transported to Cain’s point of view as it appeared that his eyesight was going hazy as he struggled to hear or see what Aaron was saying to him before blacked out.
It’s left viewers concerned the soap stalwart could be bowing out after 24 years on screens.
One fan posted: “Don’t be scaring me Cain Dingle.”
A second said: “Don’t even think about it Emmerdale – protect Cain at all costs.”
“They’re hardly going to kill of Cain,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Cain doesn’t look in a good way.”
However, Emmerdale fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears Cain will be fine.
In scenes set to air, viewers will watch as doctors advise the baddie to stay in hospital to recover – something Cain doesn’t heed as he discharges himself and heads home.
Emmerdale continues tonight from 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
