Malta uses EU funds to spur sustainability in agriculture

VALLETTA, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Malta is using European funds to incentivize sustainable practices in the agricultural sector to guarantee food security, Prime Minister Robert Abela said on Monday.

During a meeting with European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski in Valletta, Abela said the funds are being used for initiatives that favor ecological methods of farming.

"Many new schemes incent
