A WOMAN who follows a traditional housewife role in a modern world has revealed just some of the rules she has to live by.
Estee Williams took to social media to share snippets of her life where she takes inspiration from the 1950s – from what she wears to how she sees her marriage duties.
Estee, from the US, revealed that she loved submitting to her husband’s every need and preferred making their home a sanctuary over going to work.
The blonde beauty went on to list the ways in which she follows the lifestyle.
She said: “Traditional wives… submit to their husbands, don’t buy $8 lattes, we make our own at home.”
While most people in happy relationships support their partners no matter their gender – Estee claims it’s imperative to not ‘shame their husbands, we lift them up.’
Estee also prefers a slower way of life without spending money – instead of going out for lavish meals or partying – she prefers t host dinner parties at her house with loved ones.
And she revealed one of the most important parts of being a housewife was learning how to set the table properly – and making dessert from scratch every single night for her husband.
The housewife added that she loved being the keeper of the home – whether it was cooking and cleaning for her husband to making the place look pretty.
She has also learnt how to do her own make-up, hair and nails as she revealed it was important to always look her best for her husband when he comes home from a long day at work.
Of course, this also means Estee is always dressing up in her best frocks and is unlikely to be caught in trousers.
“Remember to wake up energised to put in the effort to become the best version of yourself and to look the way you and your husband appreciate,” she wrote in another clip.
While most of us slob on the sofa on a day off – Estee ensures she is always looking her best so her husband has something pretty to look at.
“POV: Your the wife that promotes other wives to doll themselves up before their husbands come home,” she added as she touched up her hair.
The clips have since gone viral on her TikTok account @esteecwilliams with over 1million views and 70k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts and it seemed that many didn’t agree with her lifestyle.
One person wrote: “Currently juggling a 5 month old, a full time job, a masters degree and a house while my husband works away. He’s lucky the house is in one piece…”
Another commented: “No you’re ok I’ll greet him in my dressing gown and my messy hair and a large glass of wine.”
“Is this before or after I’ve taken care of the kids and made dinner – AFTER completing my own work day,” penned a third.
Meanwhile many szupported Estee’s views on looking good for your man at all times.
A fourth said: “All these negative comments! My mother did this and I do it now. Nothing wrong with looking good for your man!”
“Dressing up for your man is so much fun,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Love this lifestyle.”
