CTRFC Celebrate The Life Of Keith Plain
Remembering The Life And Contribution Of Keith Plain
On Saturday 27th January, the Club were delighted to welcome Margaret Plain and her extended family to our Keith Plain Memorial Day to celebrate his contribution to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and England Rugby during his life.
Over 30 family members, members of the GRFU and RFU filled the clubhouse, alongside club members of Cheltenham and Worcester RFC who Keith represented during his playing days.
Keith’s family are pictured with an Oak sapling planted in Keith’s honour and memory. Margaret is presenting the Keith Plain perpetual Trophy to be contested between the two teams annually; Ryan Bradnam, Cheltenham’s Captain, receives the trophy as the inaugural winners.
The County President of the GRFU, Adrian Siddorn, also wanted to express his gratitude for the privilege of being able to attend and celebrate the life of Keith and passes on his thanks to all involved for making it such a successful day.
Adrian has also noted how “Besides being an occasion to celebrate Keith’s life, it was an opportunity for the Club to show how much they are involved in the Community and also how they are an example of the values of the game we all love”, something that we here at Tigers also wholeheartedly agree with.
