I’m a Hooters girl & here’s how much I made in tips in one day – people say they’re in the wrong job when I tell them
A HOOTERS girl has left social media users gobsmacked after revealing how much she makes in tips in just one night.
The employee, known only as Sav, decided to share how much she made working at Hooters on her birthday.
In the clip shared to TikTok (@savwayy), she explains: “I don’t actually work my birthday, but I work today, which is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and I also work the 26th, which is Friday, but I wear my birthday sash all of those days –
“And we’re going to see how much I make.”
Sav then re-addresses the camera once birthday shift one is complete and can be seen holding a wad of cash.
“Let’s see how much I made from someone at the bar
just for it being my birthday,” she says.
“So I think I made a pretty good amount.”
Counting out the notes in her hand, she reveals she made an impressive £214 on just one Sunday night shift.
Sav then records the total tips she receives on the other days and explains she did just a morning shift on Tuesday which she says are “slower than night shifts,” and still made a whopping £94.
Next, the Hooters worker reveals she made £140 on Friday – despite going home early.
“I did end up getting cut early on Friday, so I probably would have made more than this, but since I went home around 2pm, I still made really, really good money,” she explains.
“So for three out of the four birthday shifts that I ended up working, I made £450 total…that’s how much I made working my birthday.”
Sav clarified: “To clarify I was very vocal each day about it not being my exact birthday and that my birthday was on Wednesday… no one cared. everyone told me to wear the sash as long as i could… so i did. All love.”
It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up over 4.7 million views and hundreds of comments from social media users.
“I swear I work at the wrong place,” wrote one.
A second tagged a friend and wrote: “We barely make £5 in tips.”
A third commented: “Lord is this my sign?”
Meanwhile, a fourth tagged a pal and penned: “We’re working at Hooters.”
