Nottingham Forest Try For Attacker But Player Not Warm To City Ground Move

Nottingham Forest have made an offer to take Lorenzo Insigne on loan from Toronto FC, but face the challenge of convincing the player, who is keen on staying put in Canada.

The relegation battlers have been fighting financial fair play regulations but that has not hindered them from looking into the market for solutions.

The focus though is on doing loan deals with multiple options being explored for different areas of the pitch.

A new name has now been added to that list in the form of Toronto winger Insigne.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Nottingham Forest have gone on to table an official bid to take the 32-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.

They are also willing to include an option to buy clause in his contract which would turn into an obligation once certain conditions are met.

However, they have a challenge on their hands to convince the player, who prefers a stay in Canada for now.

It now remains to be seen whether the Tricky Trees have enough time to convince the player as well as Toronto to take him to England.
