Leeds United Could Let Experienced Star Make Late Exit

Leeds United could allow experienced defender Liam Cooper to move on loan before the transfer window closes amid interest from Blackburn Rovers, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Cooper snubbed a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer in order to stay and help Leeds fight for promotion back to the Premier League.

He is down the defensive pecking order under Daniel Farke though and the situation could yet get worse as Leeds are looking for another centre-back.

Blackburn are showing interest in Cooper and have asked Leeds about loaning him.

The Yorkshire giants could agree to let Cooper go out on loan if they manage to bring in a replacement.

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall is a possibility for Leeds, but the Premier League side are asking for £6m to let him go.

If Worrall is allowed to go on loan and chooses Elland Road then that could release Cooper to go.

Leeds have already let one experienced campaigner go this month in the shape of full-back Luke Ayling.
