Personal terms agreed, 22yo Man Utd star set to travel to Spain to secure transfer - report
Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is set to travel to Spain to complete his short-term loan move to Granada, according to IDEAL.
The Uruguayan has been a fringe player for the Red Devils this term. He has managed just 366 minutes for the club in all competitions.
It is now reported that a loan deal is close to completion between Granada and United. The 22-year-old is prepared to make the trip to Alhambra.
There were initially economic and participation issues which needed to be shorted while manager Erik ten Hag was also doubtful of letting him go.
With the number of injuries this term, the Dutchman was hesitant to sanction the deal, but he has now given the green light for the loan move.
Pellistri has already agreed personal terms with the Spanish outfit.
Pellistri set to secure loan move to Granada
A loan move away from Old Trafford has been in the pipeline for Pellistri.
He was initially linked with clubs from the Eredivisie. PSV Eindhoven were mentioned as an option, but a deal did not appear realistic due to the competition from Johan Bakayoko.
The Belgian has been an undisputed starter from the right wing for the Dutch giants. Hence, we are not surprised that a move did not materialise despite the reported interest.
At Granada, Pellistri should be handed the chance to impress from the starting XI. The La Liga outfit are currently in a relegation battle and need more creativity to avoid the drop.
Pellistri previously had a forgettable loan spell with Alaves in Spain. He is now much more experienced and has the opportunity to prove his credentials with regular first-team football.
