I’m a makeup artist in my 50s – my top three budget drugstore finds, including the blush that is better than Rare Beauty
PERFECTING your beauty routine doesn’t have to break the budget.
A professional makeup artist has shared the three drugstore buys she swears by.
TikTok user Cherie showed her followers the three drugstore buys she prefers over high-end products[/caption] The makeup artist explained that she uses the L’Oreal mascara to elevate her eye makeup[/caption]In her video, Cherie Seaswan (@seaswan6), who is in her 50s, revealed her favorite budget-friendly items.
“Come with me while I share three drugstore products that are better than their high-end counterparts,” she told her viewers.
For her first recommendation, the TikToker showed her followers a $12 L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Original Mascara.
“I’m always saying that L’Oreal Telescopic, the original one in the gold tube, makes every mascara better,” Cherie said.
“I call this a topper mascara where if I wear a mascara but I find that I just need something a little bit more, I pull out L’Oreal Telescopic.”
She layered the product on her lashes to demonstrate its effect.
“See how it gives it a little something extra?” she asked.
Cherie also advised her audience to invest in a $7 Camo Liquid Blush from Elf Cosmetics.
“This blush from Elf, the new Camo Blush, is a beautiful formula, it’s so much better than Rare Beauty,” she said.
“First of all, it’s not going to come out with all that pigment, it blends into the skin.
“It has a dewy finish but it actually does set down, look how skin-like and pretty that is.”
For her final suggestion, she showed her viewers a $8 Glow Reviver Lip Oil, which is also from Elf Cosmetics.
Cherie recommended the Elf liquid blush over the one from Rare Beauty[/caption]“These Elf lip oils are brand new, I have the Dior [ones] but I got off that Dior train,” Cherie explained.
“These lip oils are amazing, they’re super soft, comfortable, very cushiony on the lips.
“They do last a long time because they have a little bit of body to them, much like the Dior.”
Cherie’s followers shared their thoughts on the beauty recommendations in the comments section.
“That blushhhhhh… literally looks like your natural flush ..adding to cart,” wrote one impressed viewer.
“Yeah, I have Dior too. Shaking my head. Don’t sleep on Elf products. Bomb,” said another TikTok user.
“Definitely going to try that Elf blush and lip oil,” commented a third person.
