19-year-old gets 8 years in Albany shots fired case
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 19-year-old was sentenced to eight years in jail in connection to a shots fired case dating back to March 17, 2023. Anthony Carter, of Albany, will also serve five years of post-release supervision.
According to the Albany County District Attorney's Office, on March 17, 2023, near Orange and Robin Street, Carter attempted to cause the death of three people with an illegal gun. Carter shot at an occupied van with three people inside.
Carter pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges in June of 2023. In addition to his sentence, three no-contact orders of protection have been issued for the victims.
