Morgan City police investigating two deaths on Short Street

UPDATE: The Morgan City Police Department said officers responded to a welfare concern on Short Street around 1:27 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officers said they discovered two victims dead in the residence.
The investigation is ongoing. Identities of the victims are being withheld at this time for family notification.
ORIGINAL STORY: MORGAN CITY, La. (KLFY) -- A death at a Morgan City residence is being investigated, according to the Morgan City Police Department.
Officials said investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division are investigating a death at a residence of Short Street.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages and the scene is active, authorities said.
