(Austin Business Journal) — A new, high-end tenant appears to be targeting South Congress Avenue one month after the boutique Maya Star announced it would close.
El Paso-based Lucchese Bootmaker could be the next company to join Austin's most expensive retail strip, which has transformed into a haven for luxury brands and high-end shopping from its eclectic roots. The company plans to open a nearly 4,000-square-foot store at 1508 S. Congress Ave., the former home to Maya Star, according to a Jan. 25 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
However, it should be noted that TDLR filings are preliminary and are subject to change.
