Former cricketer Imran Khan sentenced 10-year jail term in Cipher case
A Pakistan court sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to ten years in prison after he was found guilty of breaking the country’s Official Secrets Act by making a diplomatic cable public while he was in power.
The ruling was issued on Tuesday, January 30, by special court judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain, who also announced that former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had been sentenced for ten years alongside Imran.
