So a 7-0 win to AVFC has been awarded as a 3-0 win to Sunderland.
Sunderland now win the group and qualify.
AVFC finish second.
Man Utd now do not qualify. They had a better record than Sunderland if the result stood. They have a worse record than AVFC who take their place on points per game.
Even more oddly if AVFC were expelled Durham would finishh second on 7 points from 3 games which is better than Man Utd's 9 from 4 (2.33 v 2.25) so Man Utd wouldn't qualify anyway. Even though they did originally qualify.
It doesn't seem right that a team that qualified can miss out because a different team had points deducted. Especially when that team inherits the place.
The FA need to sort the rules so this can't happen again.
