Mexico stepped in when Colombia couldn't do it in 86 and they are only bit part in this one. The Americas is a different cycle to us now in any case.

The UK pulled out of 2030 to take a guarantee of the Euros in 2028, largely down to the FA having a very good relationship with UEFA and not so much with FIFA. That should have been the one really.
