Clean surface conditions and waves too
Hello Friends,
Some clean looking little waves on offer at various points around the place for the early. Wind swung SW around 0530 and was still coming from that favourable direction as of 0930, but the Bureau says we’ll have 20-30 kts of southerly by this afternoon. And it’ll stick through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
So, not the greatest outlook overall. But there should be a steady supply of wave energy, so maybe by week’s end, we’ll get a weakening of the south wind in the morning and possibly see some ok prospects on Friday.
Go well with your plans and stay happy!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the northern coastline, leading to north to northeasterly winds about the coast. A trough extends from inland New South Wales across the Sydney Coast and into the Tasman Sea. A southerly surge has pushed through the Eden, Batemans and Illawarra Coasts. Winds strengthen either side of the trough through today, becoming strong north of the trough, reaching gale force south of the trough. The trough is anticipated to push the southerly change to the northern coastline by Wednesday where it may linger.
