Former Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson has stressed that Adam Idah will need some time to show his best for Celtic and will need game time to get back to his rhythm.
Idah joined Celtic on loan from Norwich City in the winter transfer window and got an assist to his name on his debut against Aberdeen last weekend.
Celtic signed the forward to make an impact on their season in the second half of the campaign and he showed flashes of his talent during his debut.
However, Ferguson insisted that Celtic and their fans need to show some patience before they can see the best of Idah in a Bhoys shirt this season.
He stressed that the striker will need game time under his belt to acclimatise to Scottish football and Celtic but conceded that players do not get that luxury at Parkhead.
The former Scotland midfielder said on the Go Radio Football Show: “I don’t think you will see the best of him until he gets a bit of game time.
“He has had not much game time at Norwich this season.
“He is just new into the club so you will need to give him a bit of time but you know what it’s like up here, you don’t get much time to go out and show what you are made of.
“But he came on and made an impact.”
It remains to be seen whether Idah starts when Celtic take on Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday night.
