Two dead after shooting at Downtown Columbus nightclub
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Two people are dead after an overnight shooting at a Downtown Columbus nightclub.
Police responded to a shooting at 1:15 a.m. Monday at the Noir Lounge nightclub Downtown, southwest of the Columbus Commons at West Cherry Street. Officers found two male victims outside of the club, near the front door, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene at 1:25 a.m., though police do not know what led to the shooting or have any suspect information. Neither victims had any identification on them according to police, who continue to investigate the scene into the mid-morning hours.
Investigators will be viewing outside security camera footage for any details that may lead to additional information. A portion of South High Street was partially closed early Monday between Rich and Main streets.
