My $16 Amazon dupe gives me glass-like, luminous skin – you deserve to feel bougie no matter your budget
A SKINCARE pro has shown you don’t have to splash the cash to get luminous skin.
She said $16 Amazon dupes gave her a glass-like complexion.
Kristyn Hoffman (@kristynhoffman96) said her followers deserved to feel bougie, no matter their beauty budget.
A “licensed esthetician,” with 176,000 TikTok followers, she considers herself your “skincare and beauty bestie.”
In this post, she demonstrated how low-priced beauty was possible by showing products that did the same job but for very different prices.
“Esthetician tested skincare dupes, high-end to affordable,” she said.
“No matter what your budget is, you deserve to have a skincare team that makes you feel good from the inside out, products that make you feel nice, and luxurious and bougie,” she added.
TOWER 28 RESCUE SPRAY, $34, VS PREQUEL UNIVERSAL SKIN SOLUTION, $17
“I have a skincare product that took the internet by storm last year, the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Spray,” she said.
“It is just an extremely calming and soothing spray and one of my favorites in my collection.”
Its copycat, Prequel Universal Skin solution Dermal Spray, did the same thing, said Kristyn.
“But one of my favorite affordable brands, Prequel, also has a hypochlorous acid spray that I honestly think I might prefer over Tower 28,” she said.
“It is literally the exact same thing. They’re both hypochlorous acid sprays. They are legit dupes.”
FIRST AID BEAUTY HYDRATING SERUM, $42, VS BYOMA HYDRATING SERUM, $17
The First Aid Beauty Hydrating Serum $40 was one of her favorite hydrating serums.
“I use it on a regular daily basis and it leaves my skin feeling extremely hydrated. It’s the chef’s kiss,” she said.
It contained hyaluronic acid and glycerin but so did a cheaper version, the Byoma Hydrating Serum.
“It feels almost exactly the same. It has the same consistency. They are almost identical.”
BEEKMAN 1802 MILKSHAKE MIST, $36, VS D’ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE SPRAY SERUM, $16
She said the Beekman 1802 Milkshake Mist $36 was one of her must-haves.
“It is one of my all-time favorite skincare products in the entire world.
“There are no words for how amazing this leaves my skin looking and feeling.
“I apply this every day and it looks like my skin is honestly wearing a dewy hydrating filter.”
But the dupe, however, worked just as well. D’Alba White Tuffle First Spray serum is just $16 on sale on Amazon.
“They are very similar. I prefer to apply this one before makeup because it just leaves my skin looking so radiant,” she said.
“Both feel incredibly calming and give you that glass skin and a super luminous finish.”
PAULA’S CHOICE LIQUID EXFOLIANT, $35 VS NATURIUM LIQUID EXFOLIANT, $19
Paula’s Choice Liquid Exfoliant was an amazing product, according to Kristyn.
“It minimizes pore size and smooths out any textured skin,” she said.
But at almost half its price, the Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant “did the exact same thing.”
“Honestly, they perform in the exact same way. Both do an amazing job of evening out my skin tone and smoothing texture. These are definite dupes.”
PEACH & LILY WILD DEW ESSENCE, $39, VS GOLD MOLECULES BOOSTING ESSENCE, $14
“[The Peach & Lily Wild Dew Essence] is really going to help plump up the skin and allow your products to absorb deeper into the skin,” she said.
But the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid mimicked it but for far less money.
“I think Good Molecules is almost the same thing. Definite dupes as well,” she concluded.
