I got a face tattoo to impress a girl I’d known for 3 days – now I want it gone
GETTING a tattoo in honor of someone you love is pretty common.
But getting inked after knowing someone for a matter of days is another story that one man is learning the hard way.
Posting a photo of the bad tattoo to Facebook, the rueful ink lover admitted he now wanted to get it removed.
“My first tattoo to match/impress my ex I had known for three days at the time,” he said.
“We didn’t work out and [we] were the definition of toxic,” he added.
The photo shows a tiny black heart permanently on his right cheek, just below his eye.
It was picked to match his ex’s face tattoo — but it wasn’t done quite right.
“I got it on the wrong cheek to match her heart face tattoo,” he said.
Worse still, the face tattoo wasn’t the only one he got that day.
“I did a drunk walk-in at a shop and got this one and three other ones done,” he said.
“How can I remove this at home or dirt cheap?” he asked in a Facebook group dedicated to tattoo regret. “The line work is super thin.”
The post drew in many people who weighed in on the body modification blunder in the comment section.
“A lot of tattooists do laser removal,” one advised.
“Go back to the shop you had it done at and tell them you’ve been advised that they carried it out illegally as you were intoxicated, and suggest they laser it for you. Good luck.”
“At home?” another added. “If you’d like to retain your skin I wouldn’t do it at home.”
“Who the f**k tattoos drunk people?” a third commented. “Absolutely disgusting practice.”
