India secured a record-extending sixth Under-19 World Cup title by beating South Africa by two wickets in the semi-final. Indian captain Uday Saharan made a composed 81 to lead his team to the brink of victory, but was run out with the scores level. Saharan and Sachin Dhas (96) rescued India from a precarious 32 for four, adding 171 runs for the fifth wicket. This was the second consecutive match in which Saharan and Dhas shared a big partnership.
