Two companies of the Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) have arrived in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, following incidents of violence on February 8th after the demolition of an "illegal" madrassa. The state government had requisitioned four CPMF companies to maintain law and order, with two companies of ITBP arriving on Sunday evening.
