Caitlin Clark has 1 request when she breaks the NCAA points record and it shows her competitiveness
Caitlin Clark is just eight points away from breaking Kelsey Plum’s NCAA Women’s Division I scoring record, and unless something unexpected happens on Thursday night when Iowa hosts Michigan, it’s going to happen.
But the superstar guard isn’t going to want the pomp and circumstance that will come in the moment when she breaks the record.
As she told reporters this week in advance of Thursday night — per The Athletic — she doesn’t want the game to stop.
“Honestly, I hope they don’t stop the game though,” she said. “We can’t be wasting timeouts on that. Come on.”
Doesn’t that tell you what kind of competitor she is?
It's about the game, not the moment for Caitlin Clark

Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder said she’d talk to Clark, but “if she doesn’t want it, I don’t think I want to do it.”
So it may be just another point in the box score … until there’s a stoppage in the game, I imagine.
