Need something to eat during this Lent season in Acadiana?

0

(KLFY)-- Now that Mardi Gras has come to an end, many people of Catholic faith are celebrating and giving up things for Lent. This 40-day period starts on Ash Wednesday and continues until Easter, and during this time, people are reflecting, seeking forgiveness and relinquishing either certain items or habits to symbolize sacrifice and self-discipline.

Although in some areas, people are eliminating meat from their diet completely, others are making exceptions for items like seafood during Lent.
