I work at Superdrug and here’s the £1 trick to make your perfume last longer – and no, it’s not Vaseline

LET’S face it, perfume doesn’t always come cheap.

So there are few things more frustrating them spritzing yourself before a night out, only for the sweet scent to wear off within an hour or two.

But luckily for you, a Superdrug worker named Jess has shared a quick and easy perfume hack that could make that a problem of the past.

And the best part of all, it costs as little as £1 – and it’s all thanks to a product you’ll likely have in your makeup bag.

The brunette beauty took to the store’s official TikTok page (@superdrugepsomofficial) and begins: “Little bit of a life hack for you.

“So, if you find your perfume isn’t wearing for as long as you want it to, I’d recommend popping on a gripping primer before you put your perfume on.

“So everywhere you put the perfume on, put the primer on first.

“Then spray a few spray of the perfume on and it’ll grip your perfume on for longer.”

Jess goes on to point out that she is a fan of the Elf primer, but others can be bought for as little as £1, depending on the brand.

The post quickly went viral, garnered thousands of views and several comments from grateful beauty fans up and down the country.

“Omg this is genius,” praised one.

A second enthused: “Thanks for the advice!!!!”

A third commented: “Love thissss,” followed by the mind-blown emoji.

Meanwhile, a fourth asked: “That’s actually clever but idk how my clothes would handle the primer.”

The Superdrug employee advised: “Just put the smallest amount and then the perfume should conceal the stickiness.”

It comes after a woman named Sinead Biddlecombe previously revealed the gorgeous £12.99 scent she wears that constantly turns heads – and it’s from Zara.

The ‘Amber Fusion’ fragrance from the high-street store is a dupe for Xerjoff’s Erba Pura, which retails for £205 for 100ml in Harrods.

“The perfume that will make people stop and ask what you’re wearing,” she said.

“Whenever anyone talks about Zara perfume they always get Red Temptation – no, do not get Red Temptation, let me put you on to Amber Fusion.”

Clearly a huge fan of the perfume, she continued: “Sinead continues: “When I say, literal men have stopped me and asked me what I’m wearing when I’m wearing this – it’s unbelievable.”
“I honestly can’t tell you how good this is – it’s the best thing ever!

“I used to take this one a night out but I used to have the small version, the 30ml, and every single time I’d go out, without fail, even men would stop and ask me what I’m wearing because it’s that nice.”
