‘It’s saved me on longer trips’, cries relieved mum using £1 B&M item to make driving with kids easier
A MUM has said a £1 B&M item has “saved” her on longer trips – especially with kids in the back.
The nifty hack will ensure young kids are kept happy, and parents can drive in peace.
TikTok user Brooke shared the tip and impressed her viewers with just how easy the technique is.
Firstly, you have to get a normal zip-lock bag and pop your tablet inside with some child-friendly content playing on the screen.
Then, simply punch two holes in the bag and hang it from the two posts attached to your car seat headrest.
This way, your child can watch to their heart’s content, without accidentally turning off the tablet every two minutes.
It’s the cheapest way to make sure your electronics stay in sight, but out of harm’s way.
However, one viewer took issue with the hack.
“I’m glad my kids grew up in a generation where internet didn’t have to be everywhere,” she said.
“And guess what? They survived!”
It comes after one savvy parent revealed a simple faff-free trick to stop kids getting bored on long car journeys.
In the clip – captioned: “How to keep kids busy in the car,” a child beams at the camera delighted with the new found entertainment.
She can then be seen doodling on the windows of the car with a coloured pen.
It’s revealed these are actually washable markers as she wipes the window clean.
Elsewhere, everyone is raving about one mum’s trick to stop kids complaining on long car journeys.
Caitlin Thompson shared her genius trick to avoid the never-ending whines of ‘are we nearly there yet?’ – and it’s so simple, it’s no effort at all.
Posting on her fab Instagram account Sprinkle in Learning, Caitlin wrote: “Road Trip Tip #1: Provide visual support for time they will spend in the car and the passing of time they’ve already spent in the car.
“This will likely reduce the number of times you hear the infamous phrase, ‘Are we there yet?’”
