‘We’d love a Royal’ declare The Masked Singer judges as they reveal exclusive clue for Sun readers ahead of final

PIRANHA, Cricket or Bigfoot will be crowned tonight’s The Masked Singer winner — and the panel are hoping for royal contestants next year.

As the wacky guessing game prepares to wrap up another bonkers series, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan have even higher hopes for the sixth.

The loftiest names may not unrealistic, either, given that soul legend Dionne Warwick, Strictly’s Shirley Ballas and Eighties pop icon Tiffany have been unmasked this year on the ITV family favourite.

TV host Alexander Armstrong, broadcaster Nicky Campbell, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and actresses Julia Sawalha and Keala Settle have also appeared.

Ross, 63, said of next year’s possible contestants: “Any royal would be good fun. Mike Tindall would be good. If Kate’s got some spare time and wants to do it, she’d be great!”

He added: “Richard Madeley would be good, I think, behind a mask and I’d love to see Gordon Ramsey, because he’d lose his temper when we were guessing wrong about him.”

And he joked: “Ed Sheeran? He could do it. His career could do with a boost!”

This year’s guest judges have also included big stars Joanna Lumley and Sir Lenny Henry.

Comedian Rob Brydon will join tonight’s panel and show host Joel Dommett.

Joel said: “If I was in the casting, the ultimate would have to be Ant and Dec.”

The judges, meanwhile, offered their verdicts on tonight’s hopefuls. On Bigfoot, Ross said: “He’s a great performer.”

Davina said of Cricket: “He just knows how to command an audience.”

Rita said: “Piranha has given us the best vocals in the history of the Masked Singer.”
