Will Zalatoris' hole-in-one at the Genesis Invitational won new cars for himself and his caddie
Will Zalatoris needs to clear some space in his garage on Friday night as his return from back surgery took a triumphant step at the Genesis Invitational.
Not only did Zalatoris prove he’s rounding back into form with a round of 66 at Riviera Country Club on Thursday to vault him into the Top 10, he put an early exclamation mark on his game by hitting a hole-in-one on the par 3 No. 14 on Friday for his second ace on tour.
The shot was incredible. The celebration was better, and the best is still to come.

One of the perks of playing in a tournament sponsored by a car company is they are usually willing to put a few sets of wheels up for grabs for golfers who hit a hole-in-one. With his shot on Friday, Zalatoris earned brand new Genesis rides for both himself and his caddie Joel Stock.
The player with the first hole-in-one each day on the 14th hole each round will be awarded a Genesis GV80, while his caddie will receive a Genesis Electrified GV70. In addition, the first player to ace the 16th hole each round will win a Genesis GV70 and his caddie will take home a Genesis GV60.
That’s nearly $120,000 in new cars headed to Zalatoris and Stock and they could still earn more than $500,000 as long as he stays in the Top 10 this weekend.
