Harford County volunteer firefighters rescue cow from pond on Saturday
Firefighters rescued a cow that got stuck in a pond in Havre De Grace on Saturday morning, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and Emergency Medical Services Association.
At 10:37 a.m., authorities were alerted about a cow being stuck in a pond around the 3900 block of Rock Run Road, according to a Facebook post from the volunteer fire and EMS agency.
Volunteers from the Level Volunteer Fire Company, Harford County Volunteer Swift Water Rescue and county EMS Special Operations teams responded and moved Betsy the cow onto dry land an hour later, at 11:46 a.m.
“Our responders truly are legen-dairy,” the post read.
The Level Volunteer Fire Company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
